Eat Protein

 

Now, its obvious we won’t be able to prevent our normal hair loss (we loose around 50 to 100 strands per day!) *silently weeps* but, what we can prevent is any further hair loss. Without enough protein it’s difficult for your body to replace the hairs that naturally fall everyday. Not getting enough protein can also lead to delicate hair follicles. Protein assists in strengthening the hair as well as increasing the bioavailability of iron, which encourages healthy hair growth.

 

Carrots

 

No, carrots are not just for your eyes. In fact they are great for your hair too. Carrots contain vitamin A, vitamin A helps to produce healthy sebum (an oily substance in the scalp) this keeps the hair from drying out or breaking. However, you should always be cautious with the amount of vitamin A you use, as too much of it can cause hair loss (and we defiantly don’t want that!)

 

 

Salmon

 

Salmon is filled with omega 3 fatty acids, omega 3 can work wonders for your hair! Omega 3 has anti-inflammatory properties, which help open the hair follicles that promote healthy hair. As well as this eating a good amount of salmon can also assist with getting back your natural hair shine! Who wouldn’t want that?
